Community Meeting on Future of Dorothy and Benjamin Smith Park

The Dorothy and Benjamin Smith Park is the ±¬×ߺÚÁÏ neighborhood park operated by the Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks.

Located near the corner of is the (also known as the Hollywood - Franklin Park).

It is a small neighborhood park that was established in 1979 and has outdoor gym/excercise equipment, water drinking fountains, lighting, irrigation, trees/landscaping, benches and trash receptacles. As of late, the park has seen an increase in trash, graffiti, damage, and an increase in unhoused camping and illicit activities. There are concerns about the state of the park and questions on whether the park should be fenced/gated.

Los Angeles City Council Districts 4 and 13 are organizing a community meeting to discuss the future of the park and would like neighborhood feedback. The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Hollywood Neighborhood City Hall, located at .
